Bummer! Sales have ended.
Unfortunately, tickets for this event are no longer on sale.
The Tennessean would like to invite all Middle Tennesseans to an event honoring those or those whose families fought in Nashville's Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s.
Former Tennessean Editor and Publisher John Seigenthaler will speak about what it took to integrate Nashville and how Nashville's movement differed from others.
We will then turn the program over to the audience, inviting to an open mic anyone who wishes to share their memories and gratitude.
A reception will immediately follow with coffee by Cassandra Holdsclaw. The Special Collections Division of the Nashville Public Library will sponsor a photography exhibit.
The event will be video recorded and shared with The Tennessean's digital audiences as part of our special project: "Because of You".
We'd love to see you and your organization there.
